Codman Farm was started here in the 1700's and is currently owned by a non-profit foundation.
Enjoy this small farm area with Dorset sheep, Devon cows, Lineback cows, Tamworth pigs, goats, chickens, rabbits and ducks, a charismatc water buffalo named Herman and a miniature albino donkey named Opal.
Farm Store
The Codman Farm Store offers fresh eggs, frozen beef, pork, goat and lamb from Codman Community Farm throughout the year. We have recently added locally made goat and raw whole milk cheese. We also carry other locally produced goods such as soap, alpaca yarn and books.
Events & Classes
Classes for children and adults are offered throughout the year. Many workshops are hands on and open to all. Check the website.
Tours
We also offer tours of the farm. Farmers will lead groups around the farm, visiting the animals and the farm buildings. Tours are usually an hour long and should be scheduled in advance.
Codman House
You can also visit ithe famous Codman House, a museum open to the public. The interiors, furnished with portraits, memorabilia, and art works collected in Europe, reflect the individual style and taste of each family member who resided there.
The grounds boast a hidden Italianate garden which features statuary, and a reflecting pool filled with waterlilies. It is a beautiful spot to consider how life was lived in days past.
