One of the largest dinosaur track sites in North America. Beneath the dome you'll find rich displays of Jurassic fossil tracks made 200 million yrs. ago. Dinosaur State Park officially opened in 1968, two years after 2,000 dinosaur tracks were accidentally uncovered during excavation for a new state building. Five hundred of the tracks are now enclosed within the Exhibit Center's geodesic dome; the remaining 1,500 are buried for preservation.

Park Grounds are open daily 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Trails close at 4 p.m. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. There is no fee.
Exhibit Center is open throughout the year: Tuesday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays. It is wheel-chair accessible.
