Forest Park Zoo

We took our grandaughter to the zoo today!! what a great time we had! she is only 19 months old and could not take it all in fast enough! the only fault i could find is there are NO diaper changing areas in the bathroom ....i had to take her outside and stand her on a bench and change her diaper..... with the amount of young children at the park i bet many moms' would be grateful for a place to change diapers and even dads' could use one in the mens' room. other than that it was great...the zoo was clean and the people who worked there were happy to answer questions.

Our visit

We thoroughly loved the zoo...Just somethings the park & rec department need to work on is the old flyers at visitors stations are outdated about 3 years. We attempted to see the ALBC Conservation exhibits that are no longer available,,,and nowhere does it mention you have to pay to get into the park, only to have to pay again to get into the zoo. The train is seasonal and not always operational, although we heard a whistle it was not running. Other than that the day was great staff friendly lots to feed and see. Plenty of non-endangered animals.
