Okay, it's not really a playspace, more of a cool destination. If you are looking for a place to go to just 'get out ot the house' and see some cool stuff, here it is.
The vast Beantown foyer features everything from liquid fireworks, giant jelly bean sculptures, water games, an ice cream shop, and a trapeze school.
The sculptures include 'The Green Monster' (Red Sox Mascot) eating a NY Yankee player; 'The Big Dig', an enormous banana split that sits atop of the ice cream stand, a people-sized flower garden made of jellybeans; and heck, even the floor has big tiles with the image of millions of jelly bellys.
The liquid fireworks display is fun for anyone to watch. On weekends shows run every 1/2 hour to varying popular music sets. The music combined with the colorful water & light display is sure to put anyone in a good mood.
Kids can be transported around in Jordan's famous taxi strollers. And once you make it through the Beantown section, parents can browse the Bose store, and of course the warehouse-sized Jordan's Furniture store.
There used to be a fun 50's restaurant called Johnny's (a retro diner based in Newton) that had some excellent food, great prices, and a really fun atmosphere. We were really bummed to learn that the restaurant closed, but it has since been replaced with Fuddruckers - another popular burger oasis that is sure to please the family palate.
They (Jordans) really know how to do things right. Everything is well thought out, and on a grand scale. It's just a fun place to visit.

TIPS | ↑ top |
- Weekends tend to become really crowded so it is best to go on the early side. The parking lot only has one entry/exit which can make for some tedium in leaving.
