Museum of Ice Cream (Opening 2024)
Coming Soon! Satisfy your sweet tooth at the Museum of Ice CreamThe museum's new two-story permanent location will open in 2024 at 121 Seaport Boulevard, where guests will be treated to a sensory experience dedicated to the frozen treat.
It appears that the Museum will lean more toward a cool Instagram photo-op venue than a true museum. The venue has locations in other cities like Austin, Singapore, New York City, Chicago, Miami and Singapore so far.
The Boston location of the Museum of Ice Cream will feature 14 unique, interactive installations inspired by the architecture and culture of Boston, including a Fenway Park-themed Carnival complete with columns designed to replicate baseball bats and games inspired by the sport.
Visitors will also find a retro-futurism inspired hub and gathering place for ice cream-themed drinks and treats that overlooks the marina; The Hall of Freezers, an exploratory space filled with dozens of mysterious refrigerator doors that are sure to pique curiosity; and of course, MOIC’s iconic sprinkle pool.
