Museum of Russian Icons
The Museum of Russian Icons was founded as a non-profit educational museum by Gordon Lankton - whose many business trips to Russia led him to a life-long fascination with Russian culture, and with Russian icons in particular.
The collection spans six centuries, and includes important historical icons dating from the earliest periods of icon painting up to the present and is the largest collection outside of Russia.
Over 200 icons are currently on display in the Museum, tracing the development of this religious art form from the fifteenth century right up to the present.
Docent tours are available during Museum Hours.
