The Hitchcock Center for the Environment on the Larch Hill Conservation Area in Amherst, Massachusetts offers natural history programs for people of all ages and backgrounds.
The Center's mission is to foster a greater awareness and understanding of the natural world and to develop environmentally literate citizens. Staff members collaborate with local experts, professionals, and volunteers to bring a wide variety of activities to the public.
The Center's offerings include nature storytimes, afterschool programs, family science afternoons, vacation camps, preschool programs, and more.

From downtown Amherst, at the intersection of Route 9 and Route 116, turn onto Route 116 (also called South Pleasant Street). The Hitchcock Center is one mile from this intersection. Take a right at our driveway (where there is also a sign for The Common School at the same entrance). After entering the driveway, take the first left into the parking lot.
