The 5,000-square-foot splash pad at Nelson Park is a refreshing place to cool off in the heat, and features motion and push-button activated jets of water shooting in different directions off a cool rubberized surface.

It's fun & easy for kids to figure out how to get the water spraying and spritzing and bubbling up, and while the sun shines the water is almost constantly flowing then draining safely away.

From toddlers totweens, the cooling spray seems to attract a wide age group, and the location and setting allow parents to keep a close watch on their children while giving them a sense of independence.

Located at the north end of Water Street, Nelson Park also offers a beautiful place to walk at low tide or to take photographs of Plymouth Bay.

three kinds of fun

This is a great park altogether - you have a sprinkler area, a playground on sand, and the beach nearby! Parking IS very limited, so highly recommend carpooling if possible. There is a concession stand nearby with ice treats, basic lunch fare and the all-important bathrooms.

No parking

The parking at this location is very limited and you will get a ticket costing from $15 to $50 dollars. Too bad - this is a nice place for the kids but Plymouth apparently doesn't want tourists.
