This park - a nifty newer playground hidden in the somewhat uncharted territory across from the Museum of Science.
You'll find structures for various ages, a good sized spray deck to splash around in during the summer, fully fenced-in and safe for the kiddos, trails, bridges, picnic tables, and doggy friendly running spots.
Flowers, trees, and a gorgeous view of the Zakim Bridge - a footbridge over the RR tracks out of North Station, a short walk to Charlestown, the Boston Garden, or the North End.
In the evening, enjoy beautiful sunsets, and easy access via the green line at Lechmere and Science Park. There are also some metered parking spaces, so don't forget your coins.
This spacious park features expansive water views, never ending flowers during the spring and summer, shady trees, amazing playground spaces, sun tanning lawns and doggy friendly running spots.
It provides easy access on foot or on a bike between East Cambridge and Charlestown and peaceful encounters with nature. It is a lovely reminder of how urban parks can be very, very cool.
