Perpetual Motion is permanently closed

Perpetual Motion's Indoor Playground keeps big and little kids busy for hours. Purchase a bargain lunch or snack, or bring your own. There are even magazines for adults. Air-conditioned for comfortable playing year-round.

Preschool Play Area
The main play structure, a huge train with four 'cars,' features slides, tunnels, ramps, a ball pit, and a full-play kitchen. A smaller structure has a tire climber, ladder, fireman's pole and double-wide slide. There is also a large sandbox, fully stocked with sand toys.

A full, fenced-in swingset features 3 infant/toddler swings, 3 big-kid swings and a tire swing. There are smaller gross motor activities as well as blocks, dress-up, manipulatives and more. The flooring is all shock-absorbing foam mats.

School-Age Play Area Now Open!
Perpetual Motion has added a challenging play area for children five and up. (Minimum height requirement 42'.) There's an obstacle course, a huge foam pit, a traverse climbing wall, basketball, swings, slides and more.

Birthday Parties
There are a variety of packages available, depending on the age of the children and food choices. Check the website for options and available times. See party details.

5-starThe Greatest
Perpetual Motion has it all! The whole family has used this facility on many occasions. We had a Birthday party there for Rhiannon. There are hours of fun for ages 1 through 10. It is kept very clean, and the option to buy reasonable food or bring your own picnic is ideal . I, Nanny Beth love to watch my grandchildren in action here. Tristan and Aidan have smiles from ear to ear. Thank you for bringing joy to so many youngsters and oldsters!
5-starExcellent Facility
Brought our 5-year old son here today and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. He had an absolute blast and didn't want to leave. Even though the place had several birthday parties going on, you never get the feeling that it is complete chaos. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They were, by their own admission, understaffed, but that really didn't deter. Prices are very reasonable, the equipment is very clean and well cared for. I especially like the simplicity of the experience. It's fun, without the constant 'cheesiness' factor of places like Kids Playground. Well worth the trip to Lowell.
5-starGreat Time
We went to Perpetual Motion for the first time on 2/28/08 and loved it! My two boys age 5 and 6 were allowed to play in both areas with no problem. The staff is friendly and the facility is extremely clean. It is more like bringing your backyard indoors with an awesome tire swing and challenging jungle gym. No hot dirty tunnels -which we hate. The food is good and very reasonable and I had a blast too! They have basketball and rock climbing. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will make the trip from Nashua, NH down again. WAY BETTER than Kids Playground in Woburn.
5-starLike the big-kid side
We hadn't visited since they built the new area for school-age kids. It looked a little skimpy at first, but it apparently had enough stuff -- our two first-graders wouldn't leave! The staff was very pleasant and helpful that day, and the bathrooms are very clean (a big plus.) They ran out of pizza, but there are many fast food and pizza options within two blocks. Worth the trip.
1-starNO FUN
I was there with three of my children and I was charged too much money. I just found out there was a family maximum. The women were mean to my children and when one of my children who was 6 came to speak with me on the other side, the woman ran right over to tell her she couldn't be on that side without a blue wristband. I paid another 3 dollars for her to play with my two year old. The woman were condescending to my children and only spoke to them not me. I would not recommend going there unless you only have one age group.
5-starWhat A Nice Place
Perpetual Motion was so much fun. My one year old daughter and I met for a playdate here and it was very clean with lots of activities for little kids. The food was not that bad, pizza is from Sal's Pizza and reasonably priced. If you don't like their selection, of food, you can always bring in something, which is an added plus. We will definitely go back again. This is really a hidden jewel if you have children under 6.
4-starSuper Clean And Safe
This playspace was surprising given its location in a warehouse in Lowell. It was very clean and well-maintained. My 3 year old loved the indoor swingset and sandbox. Reasonably priced, no charge for adults. Food was not so great, so eat first. Magazines and picnic tables were great. Not somewhere you would spend hours because there are a limited amount of activites.
5-starGreat
You know, this is an adorable place. It's in a big old mill so the space is enormous, there are lots of unique things to play with and on, it's super clean, well organized, and well, we just really enjoy it. I hear that they are adding a new area in the back for older kids which is perfect. I love the fact that you can bring food in our purchase food at very reasonable prices. Then you can eat on the picnic tables in the middle of the enormous room. You can stay for hours and the kids have a really fun time. We visit all the way from Sudbury and it's totally worth it.
5-starBorn To Run Try Perpetual Motion
For kids who'd rather run than walk, Perpetual Motion is gross motor heaven. Even 5-year-olds will find enough room to romp for hours. Staff is very friendly and acommodating, and you can unpack an entire day's food without raising an eybrow. Perfect for freezing, boiling and rainy days. And unlike an outdoor playground, NO BEES!
5-starWhat a nice surprise
I was looking for a playspace for the kids (4 & 2) when I came across this one and thought I would check it out. It's big, clean and full of creative playground-type equipment. Our favorite thing was a 5 seat bicycle contraption in a circle formation that allows each child to pedal as they go round and round. There is a giant train for climbing with 4 separate cars that inlcude a ktichen area, ball pit, twirly slide and of course the engine car. Three sets of swings provide the outdoor feel, complete with picket fence. In addition, they have a very nice area with picnic tables for eating, and you can bring your own food or purchase very reasonably priced items there. ($1.00 hot dog, $1.50 pizza, .75 ice cream, etc.) Exceptionally clean, well designed and lots of fun. The kids played nonstop for over 2 hours, and they never got bored.
