Enterprise City Economics Learning Experience
Enterprise City is a remarkable hands-on economics learning experience for middle and high school students. It combines a classroom curriculum with a field trip visit to a state-of-the-art 'city' run by students.
At Enterprise City, students take on the roles of employers, employees, government officials, consumers and citizens. They work in a variety of businesses, organizations and government agencies.
The integrated curriculum correlates with state frameworks for Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Economics, Technology Skills and Civics.
Enterprise City on Site
Aside from setting up and running the city in your school, the next best option is for your school to visit a local community venue when we’re in your town.
Similar to a Broadway production visiting your city or town for a week – Enterprise City does the same.
We’ll set Enterprise City up at a community venue like a Rec. Center gymnasium or a hotel’s conference room, usually for one week. Schools will then choose the best day to visit that works for them.
During this time, we’ll typically host a school each day, and those students will then run their city and participate in this very powerful culminating event, as employees, consumers and citizens.
With the city set up for 1-2 weeks at a local venue, local schools can still participate in with typically just an easy 5 – 20 minute bus ride from the school to Enterprise City!
