Set sail for a trip into New England’s maritime history through the lens of 21st century cameras and equipment at a Photo Safari co-hosted by the Essex National Heritage Commission (ENHC) and Hunt’s Photo & Video of Melrose. The Photo Safari will be held on Saturday, September 6, at the historic Custom House Maritime Museum, 25 Water Street, Newburyport.

This hands-on learning session offers free use of top-of-the-line imaging equipment at one of the Essex National Heritage Area's most scenic destinations. Photographers of all skill levels will have the chance to sample high quality Nikon cameras and lenses with free technical instruction from Nikon and Hunt's experts. Participants may sign up for the morning or afternoon session, and all attendees will receive special gifts and discounts from Hunt’s.

Cost of the September 6th Photo Safari is $50. Pre-registration is required. For information or to register, go to http://www.essexheritage.org/photosafari/index.shtml.

A fourth Photo Safari sponsored by Canon will be held on September 20 at The Marblehead Arts Association (historic King Hooper Mansion), 8 Hooper Street, Marblehead.
