Looking to shake off the winter cold? How about a trip to the Tropics? Did you know that the Tropical Forest at Franklin Park Zoo is kept at a balmy 72 degrees year-round? This building is home to western lowland gorillas, ring-tailed lemurs, mandrills, a pygmy hippopotamus, free-flight birds and more!
Don’t miss the storytimes and biofacts table each weekend in January and February!
11:30 a.m. – Bring the little ones to the Hippo Theater and enjoy storytime.
1:30 p.m. – Visit the biofacts table near the ring-tailed lemur exhibit. Talk to Zoo educators and learn more about the animals that call the Tropical Forest home.
