Blessing of the Animals
They are pets, of course, but they are so much more.
They can be our companions, comforters, healers, helpers, and entertainment (just look for cats on YouTube).
They become part of our families, finding a place in the hearts of young and old alike.
Saint Matthew’s realizes the importance of animals and wants to provide an opportunity for them to be recognized and blessed as creations of God.
That’s why we are having a “Blessing of the Animals” on May 22nd at 3:00 PM.
Your cats, dogs, horses, cows, llamas, hamsters, goldfish, or whatever you may have are welcome (caged or on a leash).
There will be ice-cream for people and treats for pets.
Please bring a donation for an animal shelter if you can.
