MA Audubon's Annual Bird-a-thon Fundraiser
More than 800 nature enthusiasts across the state are expected to take part on Friday and Saturday, May 12-13.
During the main event, members of over 20 teams will vie to spot (and hear) the most bird species in a 24-hour period.
This is a special opportunity to get involved in some of what we do at the Museum, while helping to support us financially.
The Blue Hills Trailside Museum team welcomes birders of all experience levels (including beginners) to join its official birding team, but you don’t need to bird to be a part of Bird-a-thon!
Bird-a-thon Boosters can bird non-competitively, do a nature-based activity of their own design, or simply support the effort from home.
This is an especially critical year for the Trailside Museum to raise money, as the governor has made budget cuts eliminating operating funds for this current fiscal year and has not included the Museum in the FY18 budget.
This fun event is appropriate for nature lovers of all abilities, ages, and backgrounds helping participants to connect with nature while also raising crucial funds for Mass Audubon’s initiatives and wildlife sanctuaries.
