Hawk Watching at Pack Monadnock
This peak provides a broad view of the surroundings and is a magnet for migrating raptors.
Watch for falcons, broad-winged hawks and other raptors.
Birds often come close, feeding on migrating dragonflies.
We will also keep our eyes open for migrating songbirds, cover bird identification, migration, and the behavior of hawks and the other birds we encounter.
(September 16 is currently scheduled for the live hawk release, but is weather/condition dependent.)
