Go WILD during ArtWeek Boston at Franklin Park Zoo
Join us on Saturday, May 5 for a fun-filled day as you discover how animals have influenced the many mediums of art.
There’s so much to create at the Zoo!
Watch and ask questions directly to the artists from the New England Watercolor Society as they draw inspiration from the animals and paint their likenesses en plein air.
Make ocean themed art with Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Programs and view their pop-up art exhibit featuring pieces created by students.
Be sure not to miss local a cappella group, Random Chants, as they serenade the animals and guests, and get creative with the Zoo’s Green Team, who will be making crafts out of recycled materials.
You’ll also be able to meet a few animals up close during scheduled animal encounters and chat with zookeepers to learn more about the animals.
