Learn more about anteaters during scheduled animal encounters.
There will also be crafts and activities for the kids, and an education station all about anteaters.
Giant anteaters are terrestrial mammals that live in moist tropical forests, dry deciduous forests, as well as swamp, savannah and grassland habitats.
Their historic range is from the southern tip of Mexico down to Honduras and south through South America.
These striking animals are noted for their distinct coloration and their general coat pattern is predominately brown or grey.
Zoo New England is committed to the conservation of these animals and has supported Anteaters and Highways, through its Quarters for Conservation program.
