Mark your calendar for Roars & Pours (Adults 21+)
Throughout the evening, guests have the opportunity to sample wines while strolling among the animals in the Zoo’s signature Tropical Forest Pavilion.
Here, guests can see western lowland gorillas, pygmy hippo, ring-tailed-lemurs, a giant anteater and many other fascinating species.
Sample offerings from a variety of vendors, including Archer Roose, Boston Beer Company, Champlain Orchards Cidery, Greater Good Imperial Brewing Company, Ommegang Brewery, ONEHOPE, Prospect Ciderworks, Rumson’s, Soleil Mimosa, True North Ale Company, White Mountain Winery, and Willie’s Superbrew.
Food and other beverage samples will also be available from vendors including American Flatbread, The Chubby Chickpea, Honest Tea, KIND, Kings Dining & Entertainment, Spin Fluff.
This year only, guests will also have the opportunity to explore the seasonal Wicked BIG Bugs exhibit, featuring larger-than-life animatronic insects and information on the important role of insects in healthy ecosystems.
Roles will be reversed as guests find themselves looking up into the eyes of an 8-foot-tall tarantula, or at the tail of a mighty emperor scorpion looming 15 feet in the air!
Proceeds from Roars & Pours will support the operation and continued growth of Franklin Park Zoo, its education programs and conservation initiatives.
