February School Vacation Week at Franklin Zoo
Each day will focus on a different theme, and children will get the opportunity to see animals up-close while learning all about them!
These sessions are offered to participants ages 7-10.
Taught by Zoo educators, classes include hands-on activities, discussion, animal encounters and behind-the-scenes experiences.
Each program includes progressive program topics focused on teaching students about animals and their interactions within their ecosystems.

Program Descriptions:
Tuesday (2/20): Animal Behavior Join us to explore the diverse ways animals communicate, adapt and interact within their environments.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the intriguing behaviors exhibited by creatures big and small.
Wednesday (2/21): Animal Health Embark on a journey into the scientific world of animal health with our class designed for curious kiddos.
In today’s class we'll become veterinary investigators and get a deeper understanding of how animals stay healthy!
Thursday (2/22): Animal Engineers In today’s class, participants will delve into the ingenious ways animals design and build their homes, nests and habitats.
Through lessons, games and activities, participants will discover the remarkable engineering skills displayed by creatures big and small.
Ages & Capacity:
Ages 7-10
Up to 15 participants per day
Extended Care:
Morning care: Drop off between 8:00-8:15am
After care: 3:00-4:00 pm.
Call upon arrival to pick up
Cost: $18 for morning care, $18 for after care
