April Vacation Week, Celebration of Children’s Literacy
Everyone tells stories. Stories express ideas and emotions. There are lots of ways to tell a story, books, oral storytelling, puppets, music, dance, pictures, and poetry.
Everyday enjoy: Read alouds, Kamishibai Japanese picture stories, book nooks throughout the Museum, live plays, arts and science activities such as making flip books, bookmarks, and zoetropes, and literacy resources shared by community organizations including Boston Public Library, READ Boston and Raising a Reader.

Fun Exhibits to Enjoy
Comics: Heroes, Myths, and Tales: Featuring Jerel Dye, Raúl the Third, and the Boston Comics Roundtable, this exhibit invites visitors into the world of comics and explores storytelling through images. Through May 4, 2019
Connect Connect Puzzle: We are all connected! – The Art Thinking Project team in Tohoku, Japan invites visitors to the new art exhibition Connect Connect Puzzle. Look closely at the artworks – find hidden clues and messages that are connecting each piece of art.
