Bring your child to the Education Room in the Science Discovery Museum to put together take aparts! In the spirit of “Take Aparts,” our popular interactive program which encourages children and their families to look inside VCR’s, typewriters, and telephones, this program will take discarded pieces of technology, such as circuit boards, and transform them into imaginative works of art! Bring the inner workings of technology to light when you reuse them and create your own imaginative sculpture or wall hanging to take home.
The program will be led by sculptor Bonnie Miskolczy and engineer Gabor Miskolczy, who will team up to inspire you to create art from recycled components.
The workshop is a class that requires pre-registration by calling 978-264-4200 x10. Deadline for registration is Wednesday, January 19th. It is open to children aged 6 and up with an adult partner and costs $5 per pair for members of The Discovery Museums and $7 per pair for non-members.
