• Wind Chimes: Children will create flat clay shapes using the slab rolling technique and clay cutters. Additional embellishments can be added using recycled items. Approximately 7-10 days later, children have the option to return to paint their fired pieces. Participants will get pointers on how to string and hang their adorned shapes to make a creative, beautiful wind chime. Ages 5+. Limit of 10 students per workshop ($20 per child).
• Make Your Own Flowerpot: Children will create their own handmade flowerpot using clay puzzling, a hand-building technique using a pre-formed shape to create an original ceramic piece. Recycled objects will then be used to add texture and design to the flowerpot.
Finished pieces will take approx. 7-10 days to fire, at which point children are invited back to paint their pots. Ages 7+. Limit of 10 students per workshop ($22 per child).
