Pysanky are Ukrainian Easter eggs, decorated using a wax-resist (batik) method with traditional Ukranian folk designs. The art of creating pysanky has been handed down from generation to generation and the custom has remained a strong tradition in Easter celebrations worldwide.
Dabblers will be holding free demonstrations so that customers can come in and watch the process of creating these beautiful eggs. These will be held: Friday, March 9th at 10:00, Wednesday, March 14th at 12:30, and Sunday, March 25th from 12:00 to 2:00pm.
Hands-on classes will run through March and into early April. The schedule for the classes will be:
March 19, 10:00 – 12:00
March 23, 10:00 – 12:00
March 27, 10:00 – 12:00
March 29, 12:30 – 2:30

April 3, 10:00 – 12:00
April 4, 12:30 – 2:30
