Children (age 7-10) read and discuss together some of the best tales from around the amazing African continent, participate in fun word finds, and try (optional) pottery painting inspired by the story.

African Tales: A Barefoot Collection includes tales from eight African countries and notes on local customs and traditions, including a full-color map of Africa. [African Tales, pt. II offered 10/13 at 2pm.] Ages 7-10.

Club is FREE; book purchase and pottery discounted for participants. Pre-register; limit of 8 children.

Barefoot Books is located at 89 Thoreau Street in the Concord Depot. Taking the MBTA's Fitchburg commuter rail line to the 'Concord' stop brings you across the street from our Studio. If driving, we are just 30 minutes northwest of Boston. Take Route 2W to Rte. 62E (RH turn at lighted intersection). Follow <1 mile to another lighted intersection; turn right onto Thoreau Street. Barefoot Books is 2 blocks ahead on your LH side. Free parking in lot alongside our building or in lot directly across Thoreau Street (in spots facing the street). Ample metered street parking.
