Rain or shine come to a day of community at the eighth annual Lakeville Arts & Music Festival.

Be sure to bring a lawn chair to be comfortable while you listen to the groups scheduled around the grounds to include Jumpin' Juba a trio who mixes regional styles of blues from Chicago, Memphis and New Orleans together with rootsy rock & roll.

The Harper and The Minstrel who will transport you to another place and time while you listen to the enchanting Celtic harp, flute, recorder, pennywhistle, bowed psaltery, guitar and beautiful vocal harmonies from Celtic lands; Drama Kids International of SE MA. a program that emphases activities with children that focus on confident acting skills, public speaking skills and social confidence, and many others.

Check out the many children's activities and adult workshops going on all day inside the Lakeville Library and ages to include a thirty minute play by Middleboro’s Theatre One, Inc. There will be a pie baking contest for all genders, cultural demonstrations and so much more.

There will be a variety of artisans selling their many beautiful handmade items such as variety of jewelry, hand carved birds, bags and totes, hand woven baskets, metal sculptures, handmade stain glass items, photography, bird houses, and natural body care products, to mention a few.

It is held at the junction of routes 18 and 105 in the immediate vicinity of the historic Lakeville Town House, the United Church of Christ, and the Lakeville Public Library. This junction may be reached easily by going south off route 495 at either exit 4 or 5. It also may be reached off route 140 by taking the Myricks/Lakeville exit 10 and heading east on route 79 for 1.8 miles until reaching Precinct Street where you will bear right to Lakeville center.
