In this 3 week class, we will delve deeply into the possibilities of the Zentangle Art from.
We will learn many, many new and more complex tangles while we explore the possibilities of strings, tangle enhancements, advanced shading techniques, and more.
Still working in the traditional black and white style of Zentangle, we will create mosaics, zendalas, and other presentations.
Students will experiment with :
.Using ideas from the art world compose the elements of our tangles.
.Tangling outside the string.
.Ways to create depth using shading, 'tangling behind', scale and other methods.
.Creating a 'Zentangle Ensemble'
.Techniques to enhance our shading.
.Ways to embellish our tangles with perfs, glints, carbonation, halos, etc.
.Using Zentangle ideas to create still lifes, landscapes, maybe even portraits!
New tangles and tanglations are presented each week.
