Sew a 19th Century Sea Bag at the USS Constitution Museum
April 27th, 10:00 AM-5:00 PM

Learn to sew a full-size replica of the clothing bags that Constitution’s sailors took to sea!

Explore examples from the Museum’s collection to learn how they were made, then sew one yourself using period materials and techniques.

The day-long workshop is led by the Museum’s research historian Matthew Brenckle.

Some sewing experience preferred.

Great for a weekend journey, a trip to the laundromat, or a two-year sea voyage!

$75; $65 for USS Constitution Museum Members
(Materials included; bring a thimble if you have one.)
Space is limited.
