Many of the world cultures engage in creating beautiful, temporary artworks in sand for healing and worship rituals.

These sand mandalas are often filled with shapes and symbols that have meaning to the artist.

A mandala is art typically made in a circle, with the very center as a starting point for artistic expression symbolizing the artwork’s creator as the center of its universe.

Most sand mandalas are temporary works, made with much care and painstaking detail – until they are swept away and the sand is returned to the earth, also as part of a ritual.

Our version of sand mandalas – Sandalas – are permanent.

In this exciting new workshop, participants will learn interesting ways to work with sand to make their very own version of a mandala.

With the guidance of the workshop leader, participants will learn to vine, spread, stitch, peak, and circle, all using sand.

Brand new colors that have never been used in the Artbeat studio will be offered to create a mandala that is vibrant and truly one of a kind.

Our sandala workshop is such a wonderful way to self reflect in a supportive environment of creatively inclined individuals.

Workshop participants are encouraged to reflect on their own creation while providing support for their workshop peers.

The sandala workshop is truly one of a kind in that it is an opportunity to learn a new artistic technique while enjoying a joyful and relaxed environment.

We hope you will join us for this therapeutic and multicultural adventure in creativity.

Workshop is $25 per person and includes all materials needed as well as light refreshments and beverages.
