With a combined 15 years of art and design experience between them, Elann and Amanda have all sorts of tips and techniques up their sleeves to make your next portfolio, journal, or sketchbook.
At the end of the class, you'll walk away with a personalized, custom-made book complete with a laser-cut cover design.
You'll have the option of working with paper, wood, acrylic, leather, and fabric covers.
In the first session, we'll show you all sorts of examples to get your creative juices flowing.
From there, you'll learn some easy ways to construct a book from scratch, including coptic bindings, case bindings, and perfect bindings.
You'll also learn some design tips for working with the cover material of your choice.
In the second session, you'll laser cut your cover design and put the finishing touches on your new book, like inside cover pockets and elastic closures.
This class is open to all experience levels, and new students will be eligible for a reduced-cost membership on danger!awesome's laser cutters.
