Held every other year, the SAC Artist Awards recognize the exemplary work of contemporary craft artists living in New England.
The winners of this juried award program are included in a three-person exhibition of their artwork.
In addition each artist receives a $3,000 cash award.
This year our winners are ceramics artist Jerilyn Virden from Vermont, furniture designer Michaela Crie Stone from Maine, and jewelry artist Yong Joo Kim from Rhode Island.
The show opens with a reception held at The Society of Arts and Crafts exhibit gallery at 175 Newbury St. on May 2 from 6-8pm.
The exhibition will run until July 19 and is free and open to the public.
Gallery hours are 10am to 6pm Tuesday thru Saturday and Monday by appointment.
The SAC is committed to creating opportunities for artists to sustain their creative livelihood as well as educating and advancing public appreciation of contemporary craft.
