Opening Reception for “BINDING THREADS II featuring the works of eight contemporary quilters: Billie Berents, Carol Brown, Kendra J.
Dowd, Jeanne Funk-Gedies, Janice Gould, Penny J. Sander, Missy Shay and Gail Pettiford Willet.
Closing reception Saturday, November 15, 2:30 pm-4:30 πpm.
The Old Schwamb Mill is an 1864 oval and circular picture frame factory and now a living history industrial museum listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
Open Tuesdays and Saturdays, 11am-3pm, for guided tours that include a demonstration of the frame-making process, viewing of the current quilt show in the second floor gallery, and purchase of the Mill’s hand-turned museum-quality frames.
Shopping is available at the Shaker Workshops store in the Mill’s 18th century barn: furniture, lamps, rugs, and unique gift items.
Mon-Sat 10am-5pm.
Mill members receive a 10% discount.
