This month, participants will create elephants inspired by the Elephant Festival held in Jaipur, India, and decorate them to honor this Indian cultural symbol, religious symbol, and symbol of royalty.
A variety of materials will be available for decorating the elephants, such as fabric, paper, markers, and pastels.
The project is intended to take 30 to 60 minutes to complete, and designed for all ages to enjoy.
Families can drop in any time from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
Each Free Drop-in Family Day ends at 5:00 PM.
The program is supported by grants from the Acton-Boxborough, Bedford, Carlisle, Concord, Littleton, and Wayland Cultural Councils, local agencies which are supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
The Umbrella is located at 40 Stow Street in Concord, Massachusetts.
