Calling all Newton artists, amateur or otherwise!
As part of the Newton Festival of the Arts on Friday May 8th, we are inviting artists to design a flower with sidewalk chalk outside City Hall.
This is a great opportunity to create art to brighten your city and enliven the arts festival.
Our communal artistic 'garden' will highlight our love for our Garden City.
Help us transform the otherwise gray sidewalk into a garden bursting with color.
Participation is open and free to all.
Meet at the War Memorial entrance of Newton City Hall, 1000 Commonwealth Avenue, at 5pm – before the FamilyDANCE.
Grab a bit to eat from the Festival Food Trucks and stay for the Dance!
This project is being facilitated by local artist Tova Speter and is sponsored in part by a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council as administered by the Newton Cultural Council.
