Visitors are welcome to come by anytime between 9:00 and 5:00.
The exhibit will include many stamps about the world’s oceans including a special section about “Whales on Stamps”.
In addition, the Museum’s JFK Centennial display will also be on view.
There will be many hands-on activities for children and adults including stamp scavenger hunts, making collections of presidents and animals on stamps, creating stamp fish mosaics, designing stamps with an ocean theme, doing sidewalk chalk drawings of stamps, making stamp bookmarks, playing stamp cards games and arts and crafts activities using stamps.
Every one will be encouraged to send postcards to friends with the Museum providing free postage.
All children will receive a free packet of stamps plus tips about how to start their own collection.
Stamp label pins will be given to everyone and the Museum’s gift shop will be open with many items with a stamp theme.
