Kente cloth is considered a sacred cloth, originally worn only in times of extreme importance.
Today it is still used specially for child naming ceremonies, graduations, weddings, and funerals.
To honor African Cultural Heritage, join us in the studio for this special project.
You’ll learn the symbolic meanings of each color and use our strips of colored felt to create your own Kente-inspired pattern on a decorative felt pillow $15 pp.
