With the guidance of award-winning graphic novelist and illustrator Raúl the Third students will become professional writers and colorists to bring their own original stories to life.
Raúl will kick off the workshop with a reading of his newest book ¡Vamos!
Let's Go to the Market! before showing students how the most colorful of characters can be created with simple Bic ballpoint pens.
Students will learn all about character development and story-telling to transform white boxes into unique mini-comics and suspenseful storylines.
Get ready to blast off into the colorful world of graphic novels!
This workshop coincides with Minni’s current exhibition “Low + Slow” by Raúl the Third.

Minni is a creative community space for kids located in the heart of the SoWa Art + Design district in Boston’s South End.
We offer art + design classes, summer programming, and workshops for children 18 months to 10 years old.
We empower little ones to design great things.
