Explore our conservatories and create colorful botanic illustrations in this two-part virtual program.
What is life like for a plant in the rainforest and what special adaptations do rainforest plants have to aid in their survival?
Learn the answers to these questions and more in this two-part virtual program.
We will chat with a Conservatory Horticulturist, explore the collections housed in our conservatories, and learn about the adaptations that make these plants able to thrive in their rainforest habitats.
In our second class, we will use what we have learned to practice the art of botanic illustration and create our own colorful works of art using these plants or natural objects our inspiration.
Students are required to have at least three pieces of blank un-lined paper, colored pencils, and a number 2 pencil with an eraser for day two of the multi-session class.
Materials will not be provided.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A MULTI-SESSION CLASS.
We build upon what was learned in the first session.
Participants are encouraged to attend both classes.
Zoom links will be sent out by 10am the morning of the program.
For added security each session will have a separate link.
