Join us for an exciting new program for kids and their caregiver to explore simple mechanical concepts and create cardboard automata—a moving sculpture!In this 90-minute session we’ll investigate levers, cams, linkages, and other mechanisms to make and decorate automata you can take home. Experiment with ways to engineer and decorate a toy that moves up and down, spins around, and more!
This program is recommended for children aged 7 and up with an accompanying adult. Due to the nature of the materials we’ll be using, we cannot accommodate children under 5 to be present.
$10.00 per person
*Museum admission is NOT included in the workshop. To visit the museum before or after the workshop, please make separate ticket reservations.
**Please note: This is NOT a drop-off program. This is a program for kids to work with their adult together. Please register for both an adult and child(ren).**
