December 1: Treasure Boxes
Don’t know where to put your precious treasure? Make a decorated treasure box and your valuables are safe!
December 8: Wings that Hang
Bugs, butterflies and birds; they will balance on our mobiles and come to life!
December 15: Celebrating Food
Art can also be about food! Paintings of still life with fruit and Dr.Seuss’ Green Eggs and Ham will inspire us.
January 12: Be Jeweled
The ordinary becomes extraordinary! Using paper clips, beads, colored paper, and other odds and ends we’ll create fantastic jewelry.
January 19: Garden Dwelling
What kinds of creatures live in your garden? We’ll use 2D and 3D collage to create bunnies, birds, and bugs and their garden habitats.
January 26: Winter Wonderland Prints
Sled down a snowy hill or take a walk through a winter wonderland forest! Learn basic printmaking techniques and create beautiful winter scenes.
February 2: Reusable Art
Reduce, reuse, recycle! We’ll create beautiful and creative sculptures using recyclable materials.
February 9: Arctic Animals
Walruses, seals, and polar bears, oh my! Create your favorite arctic animal out of clay!
March 1: African Prints
Learn about traditional African printing and make your own African-inspired prints on fabric.
March 8: Clay Masks of Asia
We’ll learn about many different types of clay masks and create our own using self-hardening clay.
March 15: Spring is in the Air
Butterflies, birds, and bugs! We’ll create beautiful mobiles inspired by our favorite spring flying creatures.
