Mr. Twister and the Tale of Tornado Alley follows Mr. Twister and his grandson Bobby on a journey around the globe—from the chilly arctic to the sizzlingly warm Gulf of Mexico.
Through the power of his magic telescope, Mr. Twister can see just about everything—except the family reunion of the North and South winds that is about to create a cyclone in Tornado Alley!
Join us on this operatic adventure (with puppets!).
Be sure to allow enough time to arrive and get settled before the performance starts at noon.
Families are welcome to bring blankets or low chairs for the performance.
Seating will be arranged according to height.
The event is wheelchair accessible.
Families are also invited to a pre-show puppetmaking workshop where your child can make a puppet to use during the performance of Mr. Twister.
The workshop begins at 11:00am, though once registered, you may drop in to make a puppet anytime between 11:00am and noon.
Register HERE!
In the event of inclement weather, both the puppetmaking and the performance will move to the Hunnewell Visitor Center, with first-come admission due to space limitations.
This production is funded by The Boston Foundation and produced in partnership with the Arnold Arboretum, Puppet Showplace Theater in Brookline, MA and Mothers Out Front Boston.
