If you have always wanted to create a unique gift for a loved one or just treat yourself to a day of creativity, then this is the class for you!Make Your Own Polymar Clay Tiles to Decorate a Box or Frame will be held on Saturday, October 21st from 9:30 to 4:30 in Amy Marks’ Studio in Waltham.
In the morning, you’ll learn how to create your own mosaic tiles (tesserae) with polymer clay (Sculpey III or Primo) using a variety of techniques including stamping, painting, and gold leafing.
You’ll also discover techniques for embellishing clay with mica powder, Rub 'N Buff and other colorants.
In the afternoon, you’ll combine your clay tiles with glass, beads, recycled jewelry and paint to make a keepsake box or a picture frame.
