Come explore the world of natural color with an introduction to dyeing fabric with plants!

All skill levels are welcome to this Adult Workshop, with experienced natural dyer, textile artist, and educator, Amanda Smith.

You will create your own set of 4 dyed cotton napkins using plants - including some foraged at Nature Linc over the summer.

Participants will receive instructions on how to prepare cellulose (cotton/linen) fabric to receive natural dye and participate in making our own dye baths.

Different surface techniques will be explored including creating resists on fabric with natural materials using 3 dye baths (madder/ Red, Marigold/ Goldenrod, brown/black walnut).
