News traveled in colonial Boston. One of the most common ways of spreading the word was through broadsides. Broadsides were one-sided printed sheets that were posted in public places around town and read at meetings. The broadsides could be official notices, petitions, advertisements or special news items. Come to the Old State House to make your own 18th-century-style broadside to take home and share.
