The EarthLoom is a large loom of logs that can be installed outdoors in a garden, park or playground. Join the Worcester Center for Crafts in building our community EarthLoom. Based on the seven-stick loom created by Susan Barrett Merrill of Weaving a Life, EarthLooms are community endeavors that promote friendship, inspiration and beauty.

Students will learn about Weaving a Life projects, construct the loom, weave a community piece, and leave the loom as a dynamic installation for future schools and community members to weave on. No construction or weaving experience is necessary - bring a lunch, wear your play clothes, and experience the power of community weaving!
