Students will work on the development of a short story with their own character designs. The short story will be bound and shared with all students in the class. Students will also be given short reading assignments to become familiar with the style and type of cartoon Japanese artist use.

Students will draw during class, going over assignments, technique problem solving, new techniques and be introduced to materials to help develop a style all their own. Students will be given a sketchbook the first day of class for weekly drawing assignments to help with the progress of their drawings.

Students should be prepared to draw a lot, and have fun doing it. Ages 10 +. Instructor Jamie McDonough
