Doors Open Lowell offers an insider’s look into the preservation of over thirty of Lowell’s magnificent historic buildings. It’s a free event held during National Preservation Month to celebrate Lowell’s architectural heritage and urban living and culture. Together these have made Lowell a creative and exciting place to live and work.

Doors Open Lowell is a free event.

Blue “Doors Open Lowell” banners distinguish participating buildings and volunteers are available throughout the day at several locations distinguished by green umbrellas. All participating locations and information centers will be happy to assist you with directions and will have programs and stickers available.

Both the schedule and list of participating buildings can be downloaded from http://www.doorsopenlowell.org. A final schedule will be posted by May 1, 2010. A program guide will also be available in the Lowell Sun on Wednesday May 12, 2010.
