Highlights for this family-friendly event include a full program of music, dance, and performances reflective of the community’s diverse cultures, with spring-themed art activities guided by the community’s teen artists. - Revolving Museum Vanguardian Art, Lowell Community Health Center Youth Coalition, and United Teen Equality Center Fresh Roots. Also, Ally-Oop the Clown and his friends will be providing fun and engaging entertainment throughout the event.
A full program of music and dance will entertain throughout the afternoon, including: Afro-Latino Drum by Cornell Coley, The Lion Dancers, The Donna Miceli Dance Center, The United Teen Equity BBoys, Capoeira, and Dan Holt with Spirit Cypher. Young artists will guide attendees with hands-on art activities, and face painting. Light refreshments will be sold by the United Teen Equality Center’s Fresh Roots program, Romeo and Juliet Café will offer Brazilian food, and there will be a variety of yummy treats by Sweet Lydia’s.
This May Day celebrate the sun, spring, and your community. Get your face-painted! Make a May Basket! Grab an Empanada! All while enjoying the talent of some of the best performers in town!
