The Story of our Lives: An Oral History Project.
Dates: Tuesday afternoons, October 12 – November 2
Times: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
Who can enroll? youth entering 4th through 8th grade who love to hear stories, to meet people, to act, to ask questions.
Are you a drama student? Interested in journalism? Do you want to learn more about what Arlington was like way back when? If so, call now to sign up for an exciting program to be held at the Robbins Library.
The Robbins Library, in collaboration with storyteller, Sharon Kennedy presents The Story of Our Lives, an oral history project bringing Arlington seniors & Arlington students together to learn about each other. This free, four-session after-school program will give 4th to 8th grade students tools to take oral histories and to create a presentation highlighting the stories collected.
Nine seniors (self-selected) will be interviewed during the week. Where? Robbins Library community room. Sign up on our website or call 781-316-3226. Make sure to include your name, age, phone number and email. To register, you must be available for all four sessions and for the final presentation. The final presentation is open to the entire community Thursday, November 4th from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM.
