‘I was there in color’ is an extraordinary, amazing and never seen before story of the birth of Israel in color! It was shot by Fred Monosson, a Jewish American businessman from Brookline, Boston, who died in 1972, leaving in his basement reams of 16 mm film. Until this discovery, the history of Israel was only captured in black and white. Now, for the first time ever Israel’s history is told in color.

Join us for brunch before the Boston Jewish Film Festival’s 2:00 PM showing of the film “I Was There In Color’ at the Coolidge Corner Theater. Enjoy great food and drink while listening to a personal introduction to the film from the Monosson family and an analysis of the film’s historical significance from Dr. Ilan Troen, Stoll Family Chair in Israel Studies and Director of the Schusterman Center for Israel Studies at Brandeis University.

Admission is $5 (does not include movie ticket) and must be prepaid on our website by Friday, October 29.
